To support national supervisory authorities in building up skills related to digital finance and identifying potential enhancements to the regulatory framework, the European Commission is setting up the EU Supervisory Digital Finance Academy funded under the Technical Support Instrument Regulation. The Academy entails a fully-fledged training programme covering the different domains of digital finance, which is being developed in collaboration with the European Supervisory Authorities. The duration of this Flagship Project is initially scheduled for three years. Its aim is to enable supervisory authorities and financial intelligence units from all interested EU Member States to deepen their understanding of new technologies and market developments in the area of digital finance, and to establish advanced supervisory technologies and best practices.
