What is the European Blockchain Regulatory Sandbox?
The European Blockchain Regulatory Sandbox establishes a pan-European framework for regulatory dialogues to increase legal certainty for innovative blockchain solutions. Funded by the Digital Europe Programme and delivering on the SME strategy, the sandbox is running from 2023 to 2026 and will annually support 20 projects including public sector use cases on the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI). Projects will be chosen through calls for expression of interest.
What is EBSI?
EBSI is the first pan-European, public-driven blockchain initiative that will tap into blockchain's tamper-evident, immutable and decentralized properties to support better public services for all Europe. The blockchain ledger can be used to store information in a trusted, decentralized way, allowing for new forms of verification, traceability and transparency for citizens.
